Who we are

Alicia (->)

Alicia brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to math tutoring. She graduated with a Bachelors of Education in 2010 from the University of Alberta.

Alicia has been teaching 9-12 math since 2011, both in traditional classroom settings and through one-on-one tutoring sessions. She has taught at Hunting Hills High School, Grimshaw Public School, and St. Joseph’s High School.

Outside of teaching, some of the things Alicia enjoys are yoga, cooking and baking, and hanging out with her dogs. Her goal is to not only improve students' math skills but also to boost their overall confidence and problem-solving abilities.

Katie (<-)

Katie is passionate about sharing her love of math with those around her. She hopes to help those that come to her for help to find the joy that can come from gaining an understanding of the math that they may be struggling with.

With a degree in Pure Mathematics, a degree in Secondary Mathematics Education, and seven years of teaching experience Katie has worked with students at all levels of high school both, in the classroom and as a tutor. She is well equipped to help you work towards the goals you may have in regards to math, studying and overall high school preparedness and success.

When she is not nerding-out about math Katie spends her time as a mom to two teenagers, knitting and taking care of her far too many house plants.
